Kruba Orr is one of the highly respected monk in Chang Mai province. He is currently 99 years old this year. He was born in be 2459 and ordained as a monk in his mid 20s. Kruba Orr is from the Dai tribes who is blood related with the Ancestor of the current King lineage.The Dai tribe is one of the rare tribe that exists in China and also around Asia like Thailand, Laos, Myanmar and Cambodia .

After ordaining as a monk for around 11 years, Kruba Orr laity as a priest. Even after laity as a Priest in the tribe of Dai, he still carries on studying Buddhism and practicing wicha that he learned during his monkhood. While he was a priest in tribe Dai, people in Dai tribe approach him for blessing. People in Dai tribes who received his blessing became successful merchant or high rank officers. Kruba Orr is highly respected and popular priest with many high ranking officers from Myanmar. Devotees started to seek for his help in blessing. At the age of 50, Kruba Orr decided to went back to monk hood and traveled around thailand to seek for great masters who can further his Dharma and magic practice.

Kruba Orr spent more than 39 years meeting many great gurus in learning Dharma and inherited the skills of great blessing. During the year of BE 2548, while Kruba Orr was walking past a hill around Chang Mai, suddenly a strange light appear out of nowhere, and Kruba Orr feel that that a good place to build his own temple and resided. When the temple was first built, its just a small hut filled with stone at the top of the hill. His devotees will often bring food for Kruba Orr as a offering. Out of appreciation, Kruba Orr will offer a Pha Yant with a Frog holding on to a Moon. His believer took the Phayants and place it on the Altar and prays to it. However many of the believers who received this Phayant from him personally became successful merchants. After that, his believers started to raise funds to build Wat Phra Thad Doi Wett. As the rumors spread, more and more people around the world started to seek blessing and help from Kruba Orr and also sought for any of his sacred items which is believed to bring Great Luck!
